PREMIERE: BUBBA JANKO – “CHEAP GLAMOROUS”

The Essex-raised singer-songwriter treats us to latest single, and introduces us to the juxtaposing beauty of Essex nightlife.

London based singer-songwriter and producer, Bubba Janko, inspired by eighties soul, alt-R&B and underground club music, delivers latest single – “Cheap Glamorous”.

Following from his previous EP, “Shy Luv”, which landed in the Top 5 EPs on Jamz Supernova’s BBC 1xtra show; and also his vocals and co-production feature on Bodur’s hit single “Watch Me”.

Raised in Essex, Janko has always been captivated by the scenes of local high streets, juxtaposing concrete bleakness, decorated with diamantés and neon. “Cheap Glamorous” comes as a product of the artists fascination, celebrating the kitsch world he has grown up in. Think big heels, mini dresses and pristinely manicured hair with the faint aroma of chips emanating from the deep fat fryer.

Much like the juxtaposing streets of Essex, Janko contradicts his lyrics with homage to eighties inspired beats. Boogie synth bass and wonky drum machines whipped up with rich high end production, injects this track with unique vibrancy.

The Essex mogul is intrepid in his sound, truly situating himself within his own niche and rapidly racking up recognition for it.

Alongside the single, the artist is spoiling us with his latest EP, five enriching tracks further cultivating his unique sonics within the industry.
