SPITALFIELDS FRESH AND UNBOXED

The weekend of events unveils new renovations with food pop ups, shops, film screenings, art markets, dance classes, and more!

It’s summer in Spitalfields! The market is launching the new season with the Fresh & Unboxed Weekender, from Thursday, June 1 to Sunday, June 4. After 18 months of renovations, the area is back and better than ever, with independent shops and restaurants at the heart of its community. Introducing the new food hub on Lamb Street, the weekend event features a multitude of restaurant specials, from free halloumi fries with every order from Ebby’s Kitchen to the unveiling of Pizza Guys’ first UK branch to the Kill The Cat pop up that teases their future permanent opening. Additionally, the Punk Chef, the first high profile deaf TV chef presenter, is launching a pop up restaurant with employment opportunities to those with impaired hearing.

If you’re more interested in the entertainment or fashion side of the market, you’re also in luck. There will be a free open-air film screening of Moulin Rouge! on Friday night, live music performances everyday, discounted workout classes from Barry’s Red Room and Until, and even free swing and tango dance classes. You’ll also find up-and-coming and established local artists in the Crispin Place, which is the perfect addition to the Spitalfields Traders Market, which includes 90 market stalls of antiques, jewellery, art, and more. Speaking of shopping, the Lone Design Club is throwing two parties — one to celebrate their launch, and one to celebrate Pride. Discounted products and free samples from all your favourite brands are the cherry on top of this incredible weekend lineup.
