After his exceptional GRM DAILY Daily Duppy earlier this year, Blanco releases his third single “The Long Way”, following his breakthrough album City Of God. Spacey beats introduce the track with Kojey following not far behind, introducing the first verse. Skippy percussive keys begin to roll in before Blanco’s distinguishable lyrical deftness and crafty wordplay graces the track.

This collaboration was inevitable and so needed. With Blanco’s upfront, innovative lyricism paired with Kojey’s otherworldly, soothing synths, the two have created a true masterpiece, at the very top of their respective fields.

Motivated by drill sounds emerging from US champions such as Lil Jay, Chief Beef and Rondon Numba, Blanco first surfaced to stardom after his lead role in renowned drill collective Harlem Spartans. It was here he featured in one of the most iconic drill offerings to date, “Kennington Where It Started” alongside Bis, Active and MizOrMac. The track without doubt gained over 15M Spotify streams and 20M YouTube Views.

Blanco’s astonishingly unique presence is single handedly pioneering an exciting shift within the rap scene. With tributes to Brazilian Baile Funk instrumentals in his debut project, City Of God, the artist continuously proves himself a true expert within his genre, never shying to experiment with alternative roots to his sound. Forging refreshing realness in the UK rap scene, Blanco’s multi-faceted ability and global vision continues to mark him as one of the most significant and thrilling names in the UK scene right now.

We are honoured to share Blanco’s brand new single, with exclusive BTS visuals from music video to aid this groundbreaking collaboration.
