Big Mamma’s newest restaurant, Carlotta, has finally opened! Located on Marylebone High Street, it is a true Italian-American homage in all ways — from the menu to the decor — it looks to those who left Italy and began new Italian traditions abroad. An Italy-New Jersey hybrid, it feels familial and intimate, yet glamorous at the same time. A gilded bar and midnight blue downstairs space, with an open-view kitchen and family photos on the walls, it is eclectic and one-of-a-kind. Retro red leather banquettes are paired with dark wooden tables, chandeliers hang from the ceiling, and Gucci scarves are framed on the wall. Carlotta’s is two floors of impeccable taste — and we haven’t even started talking about the menu.

The group’s fifth outpost in London has a special menu, featuring recipes from Head Chef Armando’s nonna. With four courses, Carlotta brings its guests back to the classics: antipasti, primi, secondi, and dolci. You’ll find Italian-American classics, such as Spaghetti and Meatballs, along with UK-based specials, like Razor Clams from Scotland. 80s dishes such as Seafood alla Vodka also frequent the menu, as well as delicious desserts and drinks. Big Mamma’s at its best, Carlotta should be at the top of your list.
