Iranian refugee, activist, and international pop star, SHAB is on the rise. At the age of 14 years, she emigrated to America by herself, working three jobs and learning English at the same time. After graduating university and starting law school, she pivoted and committed to pursuing music full-time. And we’re so lucky she did.

SHAB is known for her dance-pop ballads — full of catchy hooks, meaningful lyrics, powerful vocals, and upbeat sonics. Her new single, “Indestructible”, is full of love and empowerment. An enigmatic offering that is bound to end up on all your getting-ready and party playlists, it combines electronics with singer-songwriter-esque lyrics. Building into the chorus, you’ll feel the beats intensify. In an accompanying music video, SHAB intersects dynamic dance sequences with clips of powerful women in a variety of careers. When she’s not making music, SHAB is committed to using her platform for good. Most recently, she took to Instagram to talk about the Iranian Morality Police and what her family has been through. Reaching millions of fans, she gives voice to those who need it most and raises awareness for political and social upheaval close to her heart.
