LA’s Miss Velvet is bringing vibrancy the rock scene with her striking sound. Inspired by the classic rock sound that has consistently held a seat at the table in the industry, the singer-songwriter boasts a vocal capacity for arena set outs, with her focused sonic and visual aesthetic setting her out from the rest of the scene. Well known for her work in the band Miss Velvet and the Blue Wolf, the singer now embarking on new journey, with a solo album due later this year.
We have been blessed with a teaser from the upcoming LP in the shape of “Long Way Home”. The track revolves around heavy, distorted guitar lines that swirl round the soundscape, backed by a snappy rhythm section, and a piano-led pre-hook. Miss Velvet delivers a stunning vocal performance, abrasive yet nuanced, flaunting the magnitude of her performance and strong story-telling ability.
The upcoming LP, Traveler, sees Miss Velvet collaborate with acclaimed rock producer Esjay Jones, with an album that will expire themes of love and loss across the ten tracks, with the project promising to elevate the singer-songwriter’s status amongst the rock and wider music scenes.
