Reality

The first trailer for Tina Satter’s Reality starring Sydney Sweeney is finally here! The film is a potent depiction of the real-life story of Reality Winner, a formerly enlisted member of the US Air Force and NSA translator who leaked a classified report related to the Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. As FBI agents question Reality, we hear them say, “I don’t think you’re a big bad master spy, I think you just messed up. I think you might have been angry about what’s going on.” Based on the director’s play, Is This A Room, the docu-drama uses real transcripts from the FBI interrogation, creating a hyper-accurate portrayal of the case. The film received high praise after it premiered at the Berlin Film Festival, and we’ll get to see the full project on June 2.

Five Nights At Freddy’s

It is rare that a film is in the works for a decade, but Five Nights At Freddy’s almost has been. The horror movie is an adaptation of the namesake’s video game franchise, and stars Josh Hutcherson as a security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. In the new, first trailer, we see him discover terrifying truths about the restaurant’s mascots. Fans of the franchise will not be disappointed with the sets and characters, as the film seems to feature incredibly accurate designs of the location and animatronics. It will be out on October 27, just in time for Halloween!

Earth Mama

A24 released a new trailer for Earth Mama, Savannah Leaf’s emotional story of motherhood. Starring Tia Nomore, the trailer gives us insight into the storyline, and we’re already crying. Following Gia, a single, pregnant mother, it depicts her struggles with a system that works against her. Simultaneously supporting herself through a pregnancy and fighting to gain back custody of her children in foster care, Nomore’s character leans on the support of her Bay Area community. A beautiful portrayal of the strength and resilience of motherhood, Earth Mama is out on July 7.

The Kardashians

In a new teaser for the upcoming season of The Kardashians, we get another taste of what’s to come. If you missed the official Season 3 trailer, Hulu hinted at major family discussions: Kim opening up about her divorce, Kylie questioning their collective impact on beauty standards and regretting getting work done, Kourtney accusing Kim of using her wedding as a business opportunity, and Khloe speaking about her scare with Melanoma. This new teaser expands upon an underlying theme: the family’s struggle to truly be there for one another in real times of crisis. On May 25, we’ll get to hear it all!

Mission: Impossible

The official trailer for Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One has arrived. The seventh instalment of the franchise will be released in July, and if the teaser tells us anything it’s that the film will feature more action-packed stunts. Car chases, motorcycle escapades, and fight scenes fill the preview and get our heart rate up. With Tom Cruise back in action, there’s no telling what will happen.
