Born out of Salt Lake City, Krooked Kings are a quintet with a point to prove.
Having joined forces in 2019 during their college years at University of Utah, the band paved their way performing in backyards and basements, slinging together garage-rock rhythms with heartfelt indie choruses to craft a sound that is entirely their own. Raised in the Mormon faith, the five piece made the bold decision to shy away from their religion to fully embrace the love they have for music – a choice that has inspired their songs ever since.
Arriving this summer is their hotly-tipped new album All Out of Good Days, a self-proclaimed scrapbook of how they perceive the elusive black hole of time between leaving college and being thrust into the terrifying concept of adulthood.
Produced by Californian surf-rock royalty Day Wave, All Out of Good Days encourages listeners to grasp onto their slipping youth with both hands, with tender moments on tracks such as “Coming of Age” and “Wish We Could Be Friends”, before erupting into nostalgia-tinged “Good N Drunk” that encompasses the desire to enjoy it while it lasts.
After a stand-out stint at SXSW and a West Coast tour on the horizon, it looks set to be a summer of success for the Krooked Kings crew.
