CROP CIRCLE 2 – A FILM BY NINES

We take a look behind the scenes at the UK rap royalty legend’s new short film, which accompanies the album with the same title.

Recently, the UK rap scene was once again revitalised by the re-emergence of every rapper’s favourite rapper, Nines. An icon of the game, the Church Road spitter has undergone a career evolution of the past five years, transforming from underground trailblazer with his earlier mixtapes, to certified industry player with the release of his recent few albums, which walked the narrow tightrope of commercial viability and street legitimacy with unparalleled poise.

In addition to his slick performance-prowess, intelligent writing and ear for the perfect beat, Nines has been augmenting his craft as a director and actor, unveiling a short film with his albums, which follows a continuous story. Alongside the release of Crop Circle 2, his eclectic, effervescent and thought-provoking new LP that delivers back-to-back bangers and delves deeper than ever into our anti-hero protagonist, Nines comes again with an accompanying short film with the same title as the album. The visual and narrative progression of Nines over the past few years is evident to see, with Crop Circle 2 proving a thoroughly engaging and entertaining tale with excellent cinematography, thriving production quality and plenty of cameos of relevant names in the fruitful UK rap scene and beyond.

We take a look behind the scenes at Nines behind and in front of the camera. Long live Nina!
