WOZ — NO MEDICINE FOR THAT

The alt-rock singer-songwriter brings us into his world with a deeply personal, vulnerable, and powerful sophomore EP.

New York-based singer/songwriter and guitarist Dylan Wozniak, known as “Woz”, has released a new EP, No Medicine For That. A deeply personal project, Woz teamed up with Alexandra Veltri and Dallas Caton to bring his visions to life. Sonically an alt-rock masterpiece, the EP touches on important themes surrounding his own mental health. The grittiness, self-destruction, and harsh traumas he so openly shares with the world are echoed with guitar riffs and hard rock accents. Following early releases “Medicine” and “The Things I Love The Most” — and most recently the vulnerable track “How I’m Gonna Go”, released on his sixth month anniversary of sobriety — the full project is finally out — completing his compelling story.

“These songs were written in the single darkest period of my life, and getting to express these emotions saved me,” Woz explained on his Instagram account. “When I sang ‘there’s no medicine for that’, I truly believed that. Now my life has completely made a 180! Turns out, there was a medicine for that!”

Being vulnerable in his music isn’t new for the artist, who previously debuted with At the Gulf, an EP named for the gas station he works at part-time. This new project, however, brings us further into his world, helps others feel less alone while creating a space for important discussions. It is no wonder Woz’s fans connect so deeply with him.
