While all eyes were on the Met Gala this week, that wasn’t the only place we saw stellar beauty looks. It was certainly a week for creativity — whether through avant garde expressions or minimalistic shines. From KESH’s maximalist makeup to Troye Sivan’s contrasting glow and, okay, several Met Gala looks, Beauty Looks of the Week is here!

Taking the cat-eye trend to the next level

After absolutely winning the Met Gala with her cat ears, prosthetics, and meow responses during a red carpet interview with Emma Chamberlain, Doja Cat has posted new images of her catastic afterparty beauty look. Ditching the prosthetic nose and swapping out ears, she brings all the focus onto her eyes. Next level winged eyeliner gives a new meaning to the cat-eye, and we’re obsessed.

Milk & Honey’s grillz

Letitia Wright shares a new photo of her beauty look from the Met Gala, with makeup by Sheika Daley and stunning custom grillz by Milk & Honey. All of the British Black owned jewellery brand’s products are handmade using precious metals, and combine traditional Goldsmiths methods with contemporary designs. For Letitia’s look, Milk & Honey used VVS diamonds, sapphires, and bi-coloured tourmaline to create something truly special. Paired with diamond rings and earring studs, Wright sparkled just like the star she is.

Audrey Hepburn Inspo

Olivia Rodrigo channels Audrey Hepburn with her Met Gala hairdo! Micro bangs are the standout of her minimalistic YSL beauty look, and we can’t wait to see if the trend sticks. Hair stylist Clayton Hawkins let the bangs speak for themselves, pairing the fringe with a slicked back bun. Paired with a bold, graphic brow and Olivia’s signature winged liner by makeup artist Nina Park, the star was as effortlessly glamorous as ever.

Jean Paul Gaultier girls

To celebrate the launch of Jean Paul Gaultier’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection, Flowers, the design house hosted a cocktail party with The Webster. The event saw a multitude of stunning beauty looks, including Kylie Jenner’s sparkly glow as the face of the campaign. The standout, however, may have been British multidisciplinary artist KESH’s one-of-a-kind look. With face jewels, over-exaggerated winged eyeliner, red eyeshadow, lined lips, and curled bangs, she has mastered maximalist makeup.

The drama!

Black nails, bushy brows, and high drama: Troye Sivan is absolutely luminous. In a look that’s all about contrasts, his tousled dirty blonde hair compliments the picture-perfect highlighter and rosy blush, and his dark nails mix-and-match with a blush red lipstick. The subtle yet powerful look draws attention to Troye’s piercing eyes as his natural beauty glows!
