Hailing from Stockholm, Sweden Jacob Olofsson has made his name under the alias Olovson, composing engrossing, emotional and encapsulating pieces of art that have elevated him into the highest echelon of instrumentalists and writers. Heavily backed by publications and sporting impressive numbers, Olofsson is a master of his craft and is only better, combining elements of jazz and Swedish folk into a classical music sound that feels both a homage to the past and forward thinking and modern. He has worked with several of the biggest names in the world of music, such as Frank Ocean, Dua Lipa and Mark Ronnson.

Having first emerged with last year’s debut album Storytelling, we’ve received the exciting news that Olovson will be returning for a sophomore full length effort, entitled Eternalism and poised to be released later this year. We’ve been gifted a teaser into the forthcoming body of work in the form of “The Beginning”, which the composer describes as his “interpretation of the beginning of time. When stars and planets found their place in the big Cosmos.” A spellbinding, intricate and magical piece of work, the new single twists and turns through its sonic narrative, subtly powerful in its understated production and manipulation of melody.
