Laura Brehm is a genre-bending talent who has shown an impressive nuance for progression and innovation. The boundaries of style are merged with Brehm’s sound, floating through electronica, folk, EDM and more to find an alternative leaning approach. First emerging over a decade ago, her sound has evolved over the period of time, now coming to a head with her atmospheric and compelling new collaboration with producer, composer and DJ, Nikonn.

Nikonn is an experimental and forward thinking producer whose sound combines the elements of a variety of electronic sub sounds from ambient to synth pop, amalgamating into a cinematic and consuming concoction. “Wonder” marks the first collaboration between the pair since last years hit single “Runaway”, and is a further example of the beauty of collaboration. Atop the washy, dreamy and decadent instrumental palette devised by Nikonn, Brehm stuns with her ethereal vocals and encompassing tone. The track is accompanied by a video directed by choreographer, dancer and artist Alexandra F. Light, who brings her own unique interpretation to the visual, augmented the grace and power of the track.

Speaking on the new cut, Brehm comments, “”Wonder” is a song about the healing process and how it can be overwhelming going through all the different emotions. When you witness those emotions and allow them, rather than resisting them it makes it easier to arrive on the other side of healing. This is when you are able to realise how far you’ve come. “Wonder” can also be interpreted in a simpler way as being inspired and in awe of nature.”
