LOOKS OF THE WEEK

From Amelia Gray’s double denim to Luka Sabbat’s leather in the desert, fashion from the first week of Coachella did not disappoint.

The first weekend of Coachella has come to a close, and there certainly wasn’t a shortage of killer looks. From Rosalía’s monochrome fit to Emma Chamberlain’s utilitarian style and and Lisa’s sparkly cut-outs, these are our Looks of the Week.

Emma Chamberlain’s utilitarian-esque getup with a statement Diesel crossbody sling bag and matching sunglasses is not only desert-chic, but so functional. We’re obsessed with the contrast of the oversized bag with ultra-short shorts, and the zipper-heavy Vivienne Westwood jacket adds another layer of interest to the look.

Monochrome princess

Rosalía looked incredible on and off the Coachella stage, and this fully monochrome white look is a favourite. The simple bodysuit and wrap skirt, combined with her exposed hip bones and thigh-high platform boots, create an effortless, stunning ensemble.

Cut-out queen

Lisa of BLACKPINK has mastered the art of the cutout. Baggy, low rise black pants ground her sequin-embellished bodysuit in a combination that is both show stopping and casual all at once. An ambassador of Celine, she topped her look off with a baseball hat and bag from the design house. Absolutely beautiful.

Leather in the desert

Luka Sabbat says there is “nothing better than leather in the desert” and we can’t argue with that. His matching distressed leather jacket and shorts, paired with platform boots and sunglasses create the ultimate rockstar look. While we’re not sure how he managed in the heat, he certainly looked good doing so.

Mixed metals and double denim

There were a lot of double denim looks at Coachella, and Amelia Gray’s is a standout. The v-shaped strapless bustier and matching low-rise skirt are accessorised effortlessly with mixed-metals. Chunky bracelets, a gold cross, and a simple bag with a silver chain add dimension to the denim — as do Amelia’s chicken fingers.
