PREMIERE: OLIVIA LUNNY – “TIMEZONE”

The Canadian alt-pop singer-songwriter’s first release of the year is the perfect summer anthem.

Olivia Lunny began playing guitar and writing songs at the young age of 12 years and hasn’t stopped since. Taking the Canadian music industry by storm with her single “I Got You” and debut EP, To The Ones I Loved, she has since released her debut self-titled album and moved to Los Angeles. Her new release follows the success of singles “VIBE CHECK” and “WONDERLAND”.

A force of pop music, Olivia seamlessly creates a catchy hook out of introspective, meaningful lyrics. Her new song “TIMEZONE” is no exception. Written after her move to the west coast, it discusses dealing with long distance relationships and being away from loved ones. Despite the challenges, the track highlights how her love is stronger than ever. With synth beats, a pop hook, and explosive vocals, the song is sultry, upbeat, infectious, and intimate all at once. Lyrics promoting connection within independence, such as “I’m good at being alone, but company’s nice”, leave us with chills as we turn the volume up. The music video, also out now, further exemplifies how self-sufficient freedom and intimacy can co-exist. It shows Olivia powerfully cruising on a motorcycle, dancing with friends, and of course, sharing this beautifully bold life with her love.

Carefree, happy, and full of heart, “TIMEZONE” is the perfect summer anthem.
