BOB CARLOS CLARKE EXHIBITION

The Irish photographer’s provocative work will be shown in Paris and Los Angeles.

Named in honour of Saint Laurent’s 1960s rive gauche line, an effort to democratise fashion, Saint Laurent Rive Droite is a creative and cultural destination. A retail space and gallery in one, the space combines limited edition pieces with live performances and art collections. The upcoming exhibition celebrates the work of Irish artist Bob Carlos Clarke.

Born in 1950, the photographer is often best known for his glamorous and erotic black and white images of women. His breadth of work, however, cannot be placed into one category. Between celebrity portraiture, commercial advertisements, and humorous visuals, he has worked across almost all areas of the industry. Throughout all his work there is a great care for composition and an ability to evoke emotion.

The upcoming exhibit showcases twenty photographs from Bob Carlos Clarke. The selection, curated by Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello, includes Courtesan; City Girl; Keith Richards Smoking, and Elton John.

The Bob Carlos Clarke Exhibition at Saint Laurent Rive Droite will be open from April 5th to May 4th in Paris and Los Angeles.
