AMANDA BROWN – “AMAZING”

The former Voice contestant’s directorial debut.

Between performing backing vocals for Adele’s Las Vegas residency, touring with The Killers, competing on season 3 of The Voice, producing her own music, and working in the studio with artists such as Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, and Tyler The Creator, Amanda Brown has built an impressive career. Now, the Puerto Rican/Jamaican Bronx native singer can add director to her list of credentials.

One of the last songs written for her EP From Here, “Amazing” narrates Amanda’s decision to move from her hometown of New York City to Los Angeles. After the initial fear of leaving behind her family and friends, it ended up being just the thing Brown needed. With a catchy hook and bold vocals, the compelling song is both uplifting and personal.

The video — her first music video and directorial debut — shows this leap of faith (literally) and how fear can turn into a feeling of freedom. The video follows a happy, fresh-faced Amanda on her personal experience skydiving. Shot in a home video-esque style, it brings the viewer into Amanda’s journey and shows us her confidence, strength, and vibrant personality. She says farewell to a past life and jumps into her future. And it’s looking bright.
