EMINZADA is a nascent star in the music industry, wielding a unique style and powerful mindset. Originally from Baku City, Azerbaijan, EMINZADA has grown up surrounded by diversity, flitting between Azerbaijan, Turkey, and the US before moving to London. His music pays homage to his classical background in music composition while exploring notions of camp, lust, and escapism.
His debut EP, “Don’t Tell My Mother” spans out over six songs that display his evolution as an artist. From indie pop to dark electronic, the EP perfectly encapsulates every inch of who the artist is. Drawing heavily on his Azerbaijani heritage and Middle Eastern musical elements, the artist creates a new, hybrid sound that reflects his individual creative vision.
The EP is also a personal journey for EMINZADA, who took inspiration from his strong bond with his mother. He learned to become comfortable with himself while transitioning through genres and styles, saying, “Don’t tell my mother!” Delving further into their relationship is the track “Bloodline,” which touches on the desire to live authentically yourself despite your parents’ concerns.
Taking “Don’t Tell My Mother” to the stage, EMINZADA’s debut headline show and release party is on April 8th – at The Tabernacle in London. Accompanied by the Berlin Metropolitan Orchestra with special guest Nayana, the show will present two acts from original compositions in acoustic version to 18th-century arias by Handel. Part of the revenue from the show will be donated to earthquake survivors in Turkey.
