PREMIERE: J YOUNG MDK – “MR. NICE GUY”

The Atlanta-hailing rapper offers up the frustrations of modern day dating with bumping new single.

If you’re looking for an infectious new track to add to your playlist, then look no further than J Young MDK’s latest release, “Mr. Nice Guy”. The Atlanta-based rapper has been making waves with this song, which explores the frustrations of being in an unbalanced relationship – from the man’s point of view.

J Young MDK is no stranger to the music scene, having released several hit songs in the past year alone, including “Moving Down Vamps (BUD)” for the soundtrack to the Netflix comedic-thriller, “Day Shift”. His mentor, Jamie Foxx, and costar, Snoop Dogg, even appeared in the music video for the latter track, fighting vampires alongside J Young MDK himself.

But “Mr. Nice Guy” is a departure from his previous releases, as it takes on a more personal tone. J Young MDK explains that he was inspired to write the song after seeing too many of his kindhearted male friends being taken for granted in their relationships. He’s had enough of being the ‘nice guy’ who always finishes last, and he’s not afraid to speak his mind about it. “It’s no more Mr. Nice Guy, go fk with somebody else, I’m over this b.s. We get tired of that st too,” he raps in the chorus. Driving beats ground his domineering flow; for good reason, the song has rapidly been gaining momentum.

It’s clear that J Young MDK is a multifaceted talent, with his foray into Hollywood also makes waves. That said, for now he’s focusing on his music career; continuing to work on his album, Forever Young. This new track is relatable, and an instant classic – and we can’t wait to see what else J Young MDK comes up with.
