Wonderland.

PREMIERE: DANELLE SANDOVAL – “COLD”

On the new single, we enter the vibrant yet complex world of the singer, as she questions the dynamics of affection and relationships.

Based in Los Angeles, the Filipino-American artist has had an intriguing rise to fame. After posting a cover of “Tuesday” by ILoveMaknnen ft. Drake on YouTube, the song soared into commercial bliss, being remixed, receiving platinum awards and achieving top spot in over 70 countries on iTunes. Following the success of the remixes, that have received over one billion collective streams worldwide, the singer has continued in her artistic growth, writing for the likes of Paris Hilton as well as beginning a journey into releasing original music.

Now returning with “Cold”, the evolution of Sandoval is clear to see. Her first release of the year, the title of the track juxtaposes the tone; vibrant and hazy in its sonic palette, there is an element of otherworldliness to the cut, with its ethereal soundscape matched by the singer’s soulful and soaring vocals. Lyrically, we find Sandoval at a place of vulnerability, questioning the very dynamic of relationships.

Speaking on the new single, Danelle comments, “I’ve always been curious about how relationships can just flip a switch and how intimacy can be so difficult for everyone, when most of us just wanna feel close to each other. I’ve definitely been on both sides of a relationship where I was either the one being cold or my partner was. This song represents the latter.”

Having smelt the sweet scent of success, don’t be surprised to see Danelle Sandoval’s name appearing more and more over the coming months.
