DERRICK – AUTOPORTRAITS

The visionary label blesses us with a new collection.

Oxford-raised designer Luke Derrick has risen quickly through the ranks of fashion; following his graduation from Central Saint Martins MA in 2021, Derrick trained with some of the most prominent menswear traditionalist institutions, such as Alexander McQueen, Dunhill and Savile Row. He now works from his studio in East London, presenting work that is experimental and gorgeously contradictory.

Now, DERRICK unveils AUTOPORTRAITS, a new chapter of its visual identity. In collaboration with 250 year old Yorkshire mill HAINSWOTH, the collection absorbs and compels, challenging the inner most perception of traditional menswear. Cardigan tailoring has been ameliorated into stunning full length trenches and double breasted smoking jackets. Tuxedo combat trousers cut are matched with British PONDGEES silk faille in a striking contrast of day and night. Dashing and dazzling, there is a consistent contemporary edge to the the pieces that are elegant and defined. The collection is accompanied by a film and lookbook which document a day in a studio in North London, with three men taking self portraits wearing DERRICK.

DERRICKā€™s creative ambition, commitment to challenge and unyielding intimacy to detail leaves us in awe. A truly stunning collection!
