The San Francisco native has been a songstress and a multi-instrumentalist since the age of 11, meandering between songwriting, piano, guitar and ukulele. Amassing a dedicated following on Tik Tok, where she’s skyrocketed to almost 40 thousand followers – it’s all for good reason.
Her latest release, “Freshman Year”, paints a picture of young love, and young heartbreak too. Chronicling the dizzying perils of punch-drunk love, the confessional bedroom pop hit is touching to the core. Calling to mind artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish and Mallrat – the storytelling in “Freshman Year” is searing, and its melody is an earworm. At once personal yet widely relatable, Dumaa emerges as one of the industry’s shining talents.
Although Dumaa is the tender age of 18, the young artist is no stranger to the stage. Having open for the acclaimed indie band sold-out show at the Roxy in Los Angeles, propelled forward by HIFI Labs’ A&R team – Dumaa is set for the sights, and we’re definitely going along for the ride.
