RENFIELD

Two acting heavyweights join forces to explore the world’s worst workplace dynamic in this new comedy horror.

Renfield

Putting a contemporary twist on the classic Dracula tale, Renfield is the story of the world’s worst boss. Starring opposite Oscar-Winning Nicolas Cage, Nicholas Hoult takes centre stage as Dracula’s devoted employee (or tortured servant depending on how you see it), dedicated to doing his master’s bidding and procuring his prey, after centuries in servitude. That is, until, something snaps and he decides to break out of this far-from-healthy dynamic, spurred on by an earnest (and slightly confused) support group for toxic relationships. Determined to make a change, Nicholas Hoult’s Renfield is ready to see if there’s a life outside the shadow of the Prince of Darkness, with the film joining his trials and tribulations as he tried to cut ties. The only problem is, he has to figure out how to escape time’s oldest and most toxic employment contract first.

Directed by Chris McKay and written by Ryan Ridley, the unique storyline is plucked from the mind of Robert Kirkman – the creator behind he Walking Dead and Invincible – and also features the likes of Awkwafina, Ben Schwartz, and Adrian Martinez. Dishing out horror and comedy in equal measure, Renfield is one for the diary, out April.
