Disney and Givenchy are proving a playful pairing with their new Oswald the Lucky Rabbit capsule collection. In celebration of the Lunar New Year and the 100th anniversary of Disney, the collection fuses Oswald’s mischievous spirit with Givenchy Creative Director Matthew M. Williams’ directional aesthetic. The result? A range of statement pieces that capture Disney’s signartue spirit of adventure.
Featuring a mixed reality short produced in collaboration with Walt Disney Animation Studios and art director Julian Klincewicz, the campaign sees global talent including Madelaine Petsch, Amber Liu, and Alton Mason enjoying an adventure alongside Oswald. The collection includes must-have pieces for both men and women, from varsity jackets and button-down shirts to statement denims and collectible accessories.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. Fans can join in on the action with the Oswald Sky Painter AR lens on Snapchat, which allows users to paint the sky with paint, stencils, and passport stamps highlighting the 5 cities of Oswald’s Givenchy journey. The lens will become shoppable and link to the Givenchy site on December 30th.
