Set to hit cinemas in July 2023, Oppenheimer is the IMAX-shot epic from the mind of visionary director and writer, Christopher Nolan. Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the film tells the story of the enigmatic man who led the Manhattan Project and helped create the first nuclear weapons.

Joining a star-studded cast, Cillian Murphy takes centre stage as the titular role, opposite Emily Blunt as Katherine “Kitty” Oppenheimer. Alongside this, Matt Damon, Robert Downey, Lewis Strauss, Florence Pugh, Benny Safdie, Michael Angarano, Josh Hartnett, Rami Malek, and Kenneth Branagh join the A-list roster.

Filmed in a combination of IMAX 65mm and 65mm large-format film photography, including sections in IMAX black and white analogue photography, Oppenheimer marks the first time this technique has been used in a feature film. With Nolan’s previous track record of box office hits, it’s fair to say this blockbuster will follow suit.
