So, it’s official – it’s winter. And while the cold air has been nipping away at our nose, we’ve been gathering up some piping-hot fashion inspo to keep us warm and toasty. This winter weather has a tendency to make us want to hole up at home, and this week’s fashion round-up is perfect for this period of hibernation. We’ve got all the bases covered – from Emma Corrin’s gorgeous knitwear, and Dua Lipa’s appliqué dream, to Lizzo’s regal McQueen look. Dig up your blankets, and pull out your moodboards! It’s time for our Fashion Looks of the Week.

Head below to see this week’s picks…

First up is the pop sensation Lizzo. We covered her glam in our latest Beauty Looks of the Week, but this look was too good to just leave it at that. In Alexander McQueen, Lizzo dons a spellbinding two-piece full of vibrant patterns, colours, and textures. Deep blues, reds, and intricate embroidery dance across the ensemble, which is asymmetrically constructed for an avant-garde flair. Pairing the look with matching embroidered boots, and a sparkling of gold jewellery across her wrists and neck – this look is fit for a McQueen.

Next up is the singer, songwriter, and all around Wonderbabe Dua Lipa. Never one to shy away from turning a look, the fit she wore to the latest NYC Jingle Ball was every bit as sensational as we’ve come to expect. In Trussardi – custom, of course – Lipa played up the snow queen vibes with an all white, icy outfit. An intricately constructed two piece that weaves and meanders, almost leaf-like, is without a doubt brought over the edge by the dazzling beaded appliqué. Taking inspiration from the Trussardi archive, this look draws from the past to look to the future; Lipa was a sight to behold.

FKA Twigs has been hitting it out of the park with her looks, as per usual. That said, she’s been bringing the utmost heat as of late – and we feel compelled to share it with you. Donning a full fit from newcomer Paolo Caranza – this look is romantic, ethereal, bold – yet fragile all the same. Hand sewn by the designer himself, the look is Victorian-esque, fit with a corset and draped in the softest silk. The ruching, bunching, and slight distressing of the dress lends itself to an asymmetrical hem; Twigs ties the look in with some patchwork denim knee-high boots. Simply to die for!

Dreamy knits for days

We think of Emma Corrin, and style icon immediately comes to mind. Famed for their ability to turn looks – chic, shocking, and in between – we find ourselves looking to the young actor for a wealth of fashion inspo. This week, they did their press duties in a knitted look by the independent designer Patrick Carroll. Repping London while doing press for their play “Orlando”, Corrin dons the ‘Hampstead Heath’ dress from the knitwear label. In a chocolate brown colour, the mini dress cuts a classic, 90-esque silhouette. Pairing the knit with some chunky leather boots, Corrin oozed cool-they chic.

Our favourite drag queen, musician, and look-turning entity, Bimini Bon Boulash, has a knack for crafting up utterly gorgeous ensembles – and this week was no different. Donning a festive faux-fur look, they looked like a dream. In a shaggy, voluminous coat, Boulash gives us a one-two punch by pairing it with an insanely fluffy faux-fur hat. Looking like a snow princess, they opt for a little Loewe dress underneath all the fluff. Tying in the look with some stomping platforms – Boulash is giving Siberian, arctic, fluffy gorgeousness.

Last but not at all least is Lil Nas X. The worldwide sensation continues to be a fountain of inspiration for us, and like always, he’s brought the heat. Offering up a punk-inspired look, Lil Nas X opts for a mostly black ensemble. The star of the show is the artist’s New Rock knee-high boots, fit with a dazzling array of hardware, buckles, and silver. Building up from the bottom, the young artist goes for a light wash denim skirt, complete with studs, rhinestones, and hand-painted drawings. Up top – Lil Nas X opts for a graphic black hoodie, sealing the deal with a plush puffer. We’re loving the DIY, perfectly-imperfect, punk vibe to this look – and we’re never not here for throwing gender roles out the window. Rock on, Lil Nas X.
