A staple of luxury outerwear since its launch in 2006, Parajumpers has embarked on a new venture – opening up its very first flagship store in New York City on the 28th of November. With American heritage as its conceptual starting point, Parajumpers’ forward-thinking collections oscillate between knitwear, outerwear, sportswear, and even functional accessories.
Using modern functionality as a means for its wearers to reconnect with the Earth, Parajumpers was inspired by the 210th Rescue Squadron of Alaska – sprouting it into the prolific brand it is today. The heroic bravery of the Rescue Squad is a thread that runs throughout Parajumpers – always allowing itself to move forward, and evolve.
It comes as no surprise then, that Parajumpers has now branched into a real life space – plunged right into New York’s vibrant Soho area. Fit with the full range of its Fall/Winter 2022 collection – Parajumpers’ most evolved collection yet is up for grabs.
Partnering up with the Swedish architecture firm Stamuli, that’s also been employed by the likes of Acne Studios and Ganni – the physical space radiates style. Running along the thread of reconnecting with the Earth, the flagship store features an array of natural elements, such as light wood, which is juxtaposed and contrasted by industrial elements. Fit for a jungle – concrete or otherwise – the store’s melding of aesthetics serves to reflect Parajumpers’ core ethos. To boot, orange modular grid structures, LED screens, and made-in-Italy furniture help to carry the enticing energy of Parajumpers pieces.
Identifying the US as a significant consumer base, its varied, sophisticated customers are now treated to a physical Parajumpers store. With New York City as the ultimate metropolis, it sets the perfect backdrop for Parajumpers’ innovative, yet functional utility.
