Emerging New York-based artist SASH is creating a stir with the release of his debut project, “Bittersweet”. The 6-song project, produced with Apex Martin and Mike Dean, comes on the heels of SASH’s hit single “Lemon sorbet.” With its “darkly luxurious” and “hypnotic” sound, the track has garnered widespread acclaim, and SASH is set to be interviewed by Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 Radio this December. In addition to the new project, SASH has released a stunning music video for “Biscayne” that showcases his moody aesthetic.

Shot entirely on film, the music video for “biscayne” is a tribute to SASH’s visual style, which the artist describes as “a 70s Al Pacino film, a Serpico-esque depiction of New York.” Describing “Bittersweet”, SASH says “ it’s about finding beauty in darkness” and touches on the “dualities of there being no pleasure without pain, no virtue without vice, and no sweet without sour.” As the first signee to Apex Sound, SASH has worked closely with Dean and Martin to develop his unique “Music-Noir” sound, combining moody, melodic vocals with modern hip-hop production.
