The TOD’S X 8 MONCLER PALM ANGELS collaboration is an innovative footwear project celebrating the intersection of art and fashion. Through this meeting of minds, established and emerging designers examine the classic TOD’s DNA through a contemporary point of view, breathing new life into time-honoured favourites. With Creative Director Francesco Ragazzi of Palm Angels at the helm, the timeless TOD’s icons, the Gommino and W.G., have been reworked to embody the active spirit of American sports and urban athleisure. Reflecting on the collection Ragazzi adds “Having had the opportunity to work on this project has been a great honour for me. The Gommino is part of my experience, and I approached the design of this collection with respect, adding elements of contrast while retaining the essence.” Successful in his endeavour, the Creative Director has expertly fused elements of pop with Italian craftsmanship, the reuslting line is of modern interpretations which pay homage to the beauty and quality that TOD’s has become known for.
