Said to be an amalgamation of Blondie, Bjork, and Grimes – Maz’s astute lyricism, and ethereal sound set her apart from her contemporaries. Maz blazed onto the scene with her first official release, “How Does It Feel”, which garnered the attention of Spotify – gracing her with the cover of the ‘Fresh Finds’ playlist. And a fresh find she truly is, as this new electro-pop anthem is sure to have you breaking the repeat button.

In “Maybe Love”, Maz expels her frustrations with hookup culture into the air. In today’s landscape, where intimacy and the internet appear to go hand in hand – a lot of us are left longing for a deeper connection which is ceasing to exist right before our eyes. About this Maz reflects, “I think my generation is missing the possibility of deeper connection and the ability to see the individuality of each soul.” While the track’s core may be a little disheartening, it nonetheless holds the capacity to get you moving. The young artist’s crooning, honey-like vocals accompany distorted electric guitars, while synths twinkle and sparkle from ear to ear.
