As niche as when you first opened up a copy of the infamous book of Guinness World Records way back when, a new Guinness World Record has been acquired for cleaning the most shoes simultaneously at one time by Crep Protect. Hosted on November 13 at Boxpark, London, the event saw hundreds of avid sneakerheads flood into the venue with their eyes on the prize. Together, the 325 participants successfully became record holders, taking home with them the honour of playing a part in setting a world record, a medal, a collection of Crep Protect products of their own and a limited-edition hoodie – a day to remember with a little something to remember it by.

“It has been a pleasure to have been invited here today to adjudicate this Guinness World Records title attempt,” says Andrew Fanning, a Guinness World Record spokesperson, following the heat. He continues: “It’s been a fantastic event and having successfully achieved the ‘Most people cleaning a pair of sneakers simultaneously’, Crep Protect have become Officially Amazing and joined an elite group of Guinness World Record title holders.”
