PREMIERE: BULGARIAN CARTARDER – “A DIFFERENT KIND OF JUMP”

The multi-faceted Bulgarian-hailing artist shares track from album Motor Songs.

Meet Bulgarian Cartrader, melodic mastermind whose new album Motor Songs emerges as a symphony of rapid smashers and sounds guaranteed to transport you to pure musical bliss.

Behind Bulgarian Cartrader, lies the smart brain and poetic heart of Daniel Stoyanov. Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, Stoyanov and his family made their way to Berlin in the ’90s. Dreaming of one day being able to wave the Bulgarian flag on stage, Stoyanov has been able to make those dreams happen and parade around stages all over the world flaunting his roots. For him, the Bulgarian Cartrader is a character built upon the layers of his own individuality, a powerful tool for self-introspection. As he discusses his ability to metamorphasize into Cartrader, he says “the path is so difficult and rocky – if you don’t laugh at yourself, you break because of it, so you remain unaffected by the difficulty of the road.”

“I remembered running into my room as a kid and simulating a disco in my head – with everything, with dancing and letting out energy.” This is how Bulgarian Cartrader describes the album’s focus track “A Different Kind of Jump”. A four-line mantra synthesized with delirious and psychedelic indie undertones; the track is sure to make you feel like you can dance for hours on end without touching the floor.
