“Slow Motion” is a story of an unrestful relationship and the ruthless emotional impact it has on lovers, who see their bond disintegrate before their eyes as if it’s in “Slow Motion” although being so close. The unfolding is gradual, yet difficult to come clean with when too late.

“We’re lying in bed like parallel lines” are the opening lyrics to the track. Although being on the same infinite plane, the two lines will never touch. Emilia tells us that these were the latter was the most telling verse from “Slow Motion”, as it accurately sums up the bitter-sweet disposition of the song.

Doused in dreamy guitar strums and reverberating vocals, Emilia accompanies “Slow Motion” with a simple, stripped-down music video, conveying the loneliness of those days spent making sense of one’s self after a bad break up. Emilia sings at the top of her lungs around an empty house, hoping, perhaps, to be heard by the one that got away.
