The alt-rock artist faces her demons with her latest release.

In “Save Me”, Lindsey is at her most vulnerable. To try and process an internal struggle, she bravely wears her heart on her sleeve. During an uphill battle with depression, the alt-rock artist took to creating her debut project “Out of the Ashes.” And, like a phoenix Lindsey rose – opting to release “Save Me” first in an upcoming string of tracks from the project.

As a child, Lindsey found solace in turning her innermost thoughts into poetry. Writing about darkness, light, and what it takes to overcome – a solid foundation was built for her later work. Combining poetry with an eclectic mix of musical references, such as Evanescence and The Cranberries, what results is a valiant attempt at facing one’s own demons in order to move forward. During the debilitating depressive episode that inspired Lindsey to write “Save Me,” she found herself simultaneously grappling with not being able to reach out for help. About this she reflects, “Through ‘Save Me’ I wanted to convey this inward fight; the sounds of crying out for help while fighting the feeling that no one could hear me. This is a constant battle for me every day, but I would rather fight each day of my life than give into the demons that chase me.” Lindsey’s unapologetic vulnerability no doubt resonates with many, and we’re excited to see what else is to come.
