It might seem audacious to co-opt the name of one of the biggest cultural events the French capital sees each year, however, that’s until you see the handiwork of Paris-based, mixed-media artist, fuchsia. Amidst the buzz of Paris Fashion Week, the creative is staging her own series of events, with the inaugural Paris fuchsia Week, from 27th September until 2nd October.

Showcasing her work at the city’s Lieu Ideal gallery, attendees will be able to experience fuchsia’s captivating focus on watercolour, inks, and oils in the flesh. Contrasting themes of benevolence and malevolence via acutely chosen hues and spiritual symbolism, fuchsia’s work exhibits her fascination and belief in celestial beings, often depicting angels, who she believes are reflective of humans’ deepest values – love, vulnerability and innocence. The angels also serve as relayers of messages on the social and environmental struggles the world faces today, with fuchsia endeavouring to awaken her audiences through the captivating medium that is her work.

Paris fuchsia Week will feature events including, a conversation on the theme of apocalypse, between a priest, and environmentalist and TED speaker, Marine Calmet, as well as a screening of the moving documentary River of Gold, in collaboration with the Amazon Aid Foundation.

If you can’t wait until then, head below for a sneak peek at fuchsia’s mesmerising work, right now…
