Hablot Brown deliver a live performance of material from their August self-titled debut album, in the video below, which is so woozy and effortless that it looks merely like three friends jamming. The perfect delivery for the gradual burn of jazz-inflected, indie-R&B cuts “Chasing The Shadows” and “Wait For Me”, taken from their August self-titled debut LP.
And, jamming together is after all, where Hablot Brown is at home as a group. Singaporean singer-songwriter, Linus Hablot met twins Austin Daniel Brown (guitarist) and John Sterling Brown (drummer) at a Berklee School of Music summer programme as a child, and since releasing their debut single “Tied Up” in 2017, the three have amassed over 500,000 fans together. Their recent debut studio album proved the culmination of years of toil in the industry up to now, a captivating concoction of the raw exuberance of the school student musicians that remains within them coupled with the slick delivery of the rock stars-in-waiting they’ve become.
The three evidence the Hablot Brown magic in all its glory in the live performance of “Chasing The Shadows” and “Wait For Me”. Head below to watch it, right now…
