“I pity people who don’t know what it’s like to be this in love”, says Patrick (David Dawson), in the trailer for upcoming Amazon Prime film, My Policeman. Aside from being highly relatable, given it is afterall HRH Harry Styles who has caught the museum curator’s affections – or more accurately Styles’ character and said policeman, Tom – it also encapsulates the nailbiting romantic tension of this forbidden queer love triangle.

Opening with Tom and Marion (Emma Corrin)’s engagement, we quickly see Tom and Patrick develop uncontrollable feelings for eachother, in 1950s Britain where homosexuality is illegal. The all-consuming love triangle that ensues is a cocktail of infatuation, frustration, fear, humanity, and emotional multiplexes beyond description, as Styles hits our screens for the second time this year following Olivia Wilde’s “Don’t Worry Darling”.

With its release pegged for November 4th of this year, it is safe to say that whilst the trailer quenches our thirst, it’s also got us counting down the days until release day with even more urgency. Head below to watch it now…
