Tosh Alexander’s dynamic vocals float over an eccentric dancehall beat in her newest single “Cum Yah”. Her irresistible and catchy hooks shine bright in the proud showcase, which can best be described as an ode to the wonders of Jamaica -the place she was raised.

And, to elevate the project to that next level, the newly released music video becomes a mode of storytelling in Alexander’s invigorating encapsulation of the alluring country. Commenting on the visuals, the artist explains, “It was important for me to highlight the dynamic nature of the Jamaican culture through our fashion, attitude and art form. From the vibrant colours of the tropical landscape, the fashion, which pays homage to Caribbean and Dancehall fashion with subtle nuances of couture, to the grit of our expression throughout the video. I wanted the person watching ‘Cum Yah’ to gain an authentic experience of my culture for those 3 minutes and 7 seconds.”

Bold and energetic, the artist takes centre stage with her commanding presence as she holds a megaphone and garners the attention of all that stand nearby. Journeying from shots of Alexander strutting along the sea and taking to a bamboo raft, to dancing on the sand accentuated by a blazing fire, the music video is sure to keep you in endless awe.
