Kendall Amon is the living emodiment of two worlds colliding. After studying medicine, with a minor in creative writing, Amon quickly discovered the formulaic side of songwriting. Whilst in her university lab – and a quarter-life crisis later – she concluded that songwriting leads to self-fulfilment and emotional equilibrium, and chose to pursue this further. Speaking about her medical studies, Amon explained, “I realised that I was choosing a career path out of fear rather than out of passion”. Fast forward to today, and the LA native is on the verge of skyrocketing.

Catching the eye of director Brian K. Roberts, Amon is now taking over the soundtrack for his upcoming rom-com 10 Truths About Love, starring Camille Belle. With a whopping five songs on the roster, Amon’s declarational lyrics help to tell the tale of girl-meets-boy.

And that is not all! Kendall Amon’s new track “Pity Party”, is giving us the license to feel sorry for ourselves post-break-up! “. “It’s a look at all of the raw, messy, ragged, somewhat ugly parts that make you a whole person,” says Amon. “I hope it inspires listeners to dissolve your own illusions and indulge in your imperfections. It’s a reminder that throwing ourselves a little pity party is also part of the healing process.” Vocals are confident yet vulnerable, expressive yet insecure, truly demonstrating the doubt and self-blame we all experience after losing someone. Kendall Amon initially wanted to keep her music and lyrics for herself, but we’ll be forever grateful her mind was swayed!
