Walshy’s brand new single “Long Time” was penned in 2019, while the artist, one-half of Caleb & Walshy, was living in Leamington Spa. Residing in the Warwickshire town was not his favourite period of life so far, with him feeling misunderstood and struggling to find his people.

These feelings are channelled into fourth solo single of the year, following the hip-hop and jazz-orientated “Glass Case”, “Tranquillity” and “The Trek To Swords”. “Long Time” sees him returning to the intricate sample-based soundscape of his soulful Caleb & Walshy roots, with a blend of influences, ranging from Elliott Smith, Beach House, and Kanye West, the balmy, dazed new track is a coalescence of this rich musical consumption.

The summer-drenched music video stars the multi-talented Italian artist, Caterina Danzico, with Dylan Hayes’ direction suffusing sci-fi elements that transport you to a parallel realm. Perfect for a hazy weekend if you ask us.
