With the weekend mere moments away, it is safe to say that we are all in the mood to let down our locks and party away the qualms of the week. Well, eclectic artist Sandflower is here to assist with the unapologetically outrageous new album, The Quantum Seed. A sonic rollercoaster of sorts, the Brooklyn-based artist’s latest offering is an ode to the party that manipulates bombastic basses, warped synths and electronic-tinged vocals to throw listeners into a trance that will have them vigorously grooving along to its unforgiving noise. And, while impressive in sound, prepare to be visually mesmerised, as hypnotic music videos pile up to form a trippy visual album worthy of the name.

Speaking on the invigorating project, the artist claims, “This album, this collection of songs is me reaching out into the universe with sound, poetry, melody, lyrics. Each song started as a seed of an idea and grew into its own kind of flower. Sometimes it feels like my art, my ideas, even the synchronicities that brought this album together are something out of the Quantum Realm.”

The weekend is calling, and it is bringing Sandflower with it.
