PREMIERE: KNAP – “LEAVING THE ENDZ”

The UK-based hip-hop and grime star returns with his latest single, accompanied by an explosive visual.

Unstoppable as the hip-hop and grime star is, Knap continues putting out outstanding, strong and punchy singles, coined authentically from real-life experiences. From the array of singles released across 2018 to the music videos and freestyle sessions on the esteemed BL@CKBOX YouTube Channel, Knap has gone over and beyond to shows just how prolific and active he really is — and there’s no way of stopping him.

As you catch the beat of “Leaving The Endz”, its infectious melody promises to have you jamming all day long. Achieved with the combination of razor-sharp bars and melodic vocal elements, Knap’s Caribbean heritage is put on full display with reggae-adjacent vocal samples on top of machine-gun hi-hats and huge kick drums.

But don’t let yourself be carried away just by the music, because in-between those incredible sounds, there’s a very important message and story to be heard. Not only does Knap use his talent to produce astonishing sounds but he also uses his music to say what words cannot. Elaborating further, Knap explains, “Everything I say in my projects songs is 100 per cent real. When I wrote the song, I was feeling frustrated, stuck in previous situations, struggling for money, and hanging out with the wrong people. I just realized that I don’t want this life anymore. I am a fighter. I am a warrior. I want to succeed and move to a better place. My goal is to inspire people to overcome any obstacles and follow their dreams.”
