Having released “Trapped” on “Secret Teachings” to critical acclaim already this year, Chilean artist Miraclis is making a comeback with his latest cut, “Scienter”. The second and final single ahead of his debut LP “Origin Of Truth,” it is a true labour of love. The hypnotising track crashes into new music Friday accompanied by a captivating music video, directed by Santiago Posada. Three years in the making, the video draws inspiration from characters found in the oldest festival in Columbia, ensuring that culture seeps into every crevice of the new release.

Speaking on the narrative behind the new single and its visuals, Miraclis comments, “’Scienter’ is a track that means a lot to me. I didn’t have any intention or any story to tell at the beginning – I just wanted to do something really cinematographic, where you could imagine yourself in a ‘dramatic’ or ‘painful’ situation. A pad gave the track this certain atmosphere, to which I added the vocals. It’s one of my favourite tracks of the album I must say.”

Opening with Smagghe + Cross’ remix with hauntingly beautiful howls and dynamic vocal tones, the track is hardened by percussion, creating a dramatic juxtaposition before the track evolves into a truly ambient piece – the perfect sonic journey, some would say.
