Autumn: a season of change, where the ground starts to collect disregarded foliage, and new beginnings beckon. Embracing these sentiments in unexpected ways, Dior introduces the tree of life to their vocabulary — employing it as a symbol of connection between cultures, mythologies and creation to create an intricate Haute Couture Collection for the Autumn/Winter season.

DIOR AW22/23 HAUTE COUTURE COLLECTION
The French fashion house embraces the tree of life to create a harmonious collection for the new season.

Centring around elegant embroidery, the pieces boast a webbed design that take the form of feathered petals, spiked leaves and traditional patterns. Constructed in a soft palette, maxi dresses are washed over in neutral tones whilst elsewhere lacy turtlenecks are made striking with jet-black colouring, while unexpected pops of colour breathe the House’s life and vibrancy into the collection.
Universally acknowledged, the tree of life was reinterpreted by Ukrainian artist Olesia Trofymenko — who designed the shows set to reflect the dialogue between art and couture. In a way that only Dior knows how, the House translate the album into a manifesto of harmonious plurality — establishing unity and balance to round off the year, in preparation for a new one.
