If the Dior Men’s Summer 23 show proved one thing, it was that summer is well and truly underway. Kim Jones looked to transport invitees, including the likes of Justin Timberlake and Cruz Beckham, through space and time with the destination standing as a refreshing fresh summer garden last week. The runway fulfilled all of our summer house dreams, as pops of vibrant colour burst within the flower-filled garden, while a picturesque country house encompassed cool pastel shades, capturing the eyes of eager onlookers with ease. A summer destination that dreams are truly made of, Dior let us know that the doors to its country house are ajar this season.

From Paris to Granville, the birthplace of monsieur Dior, to Charleston, where the artist Duncan Grant’s visions came to life, the show illuminates the importance of how the house’s private realm provides guidance and inspiration for the codes that fill out their shows. And, the result? Their forever-intertwining past, present and future presented themselves in blissful harmony for all to enjoy.

Inspired by outdoor activities, Dior’s iconic motifs were boldly deployed as subtle quilting on coats, while the emblematic barjacketis presented in semi-transparent silk organza. The colours, from Dior’s greys to pinks and blues to greens, capture nature’s lush gradients. Bold tailoring is reinvented in shorts, and coats complete the show with equal parts functionality and refinement. An ode to summers spent amongst flowerbeds and luscious nature, Dior bottled up the essence of the season and presented it in its Summer 23 collection.
