In her own words, Jessie explains, “This single means a lot to me because it was very accurate to how I was feeling when I wrote it. It’s simple — it’s about needing a break from your everyday routine and surroundings, hence ‘Runaway’. I was travelling back and forth during that time and that really helped me put a lot of things into perspective when I had that time away from my everyday distractions. It’s not about running away from your problems either, it’s ok to run away/ take a break and refocus yourself then come back with a plan.”
