It’s still Pride Month, and, Ash Gordon is here to remind us that we have reason to celebrate. The incredible LA-based New Yorker releases “Everyone Is A Little Bit Gay” today, a new song that already unveils its mood with its name. This happy, playful and catchy song is a celebration of individuality and a reminder to be yourself, as loudly and proudly as you wish to – an ode to expressing your sexuality as you desire.
“It’s okay to say gay. As much as you want. To your heart’s content. I want to celebrate the word and get people to giggle their way into realising that sexuality is a spectrum,” says Ash. “The Queer Goddesses dropped this song into my brain while I was at a drag brunch, watching a very obviously straight man who was very obviously brought there by his girlfriend get a lapdance by a campy queen. He wasn’t pissed. He wasn’t disgusted. He was laughing his ass off and tipped like a champ. The track playing at that moment didn’t really capture what was happening, so I wrote a song that did.”
The recently released track “Cosmic Colors” featuring world-renowned drag queen Trixie Mattel is the lead single from Ash’s double album, Ash Gordon and Ash Gordon II, which will be available on July 15 with a myriad of incredibly good collaborations and features alongside sixteen psychedelic songs that perfectly encompass Ash’s lipstick garage-rock vision. So, mark your diaries and get ready to party upon its release.
