bexx, one of Britain’s very own rising alt-pop artists, has just dropped an accompanying music video to her single “One More Night”, and it’s so easy to love.

Taking inspiration from her favourite rom-com, My Best Friend’s Wedding, bexx alludes to her own experience dealing with an impending breakup by joining her story and the film’s plot in a melodically cheerful single.

From wearing a wedding dress while cheerfully singing and dancing with ‘bridesmaids’ by her sides, to singing lyrics such as, “‘Cause we were never only friends” and “things are changing suddenly”, bexx builds a clear bridge between her personal feelings and the ones of the movie’s main character.

In her own words, she explains “The song is from Julianne’s perspective in My Best Friend’s Wedding, but it’s also from mine. Because even though my relationship wasn’t healthy, I really just wanted one more perfect night with this person before I had to cut them loose.”
