This week, our timelines were set alight with ‘fits from the streets of Paris to the cabs of LA — courtesy of Maude Apatow and Dua Lipa. Whether it was taking inspiration from Kate Bush’s Wuthering Heights era or dressing in Britney Spears’ grey school uniform, the looks this week have certainly been a powerful homage to the iconic outfits of fashions past. And, as always, we believe it is our due diligence to share the very best with you.

So from boxy suits to sheer two-pieces, flowing maxi dresses to knitted cardigans, scroll below to see the looks that caught our eye this week…

Dua Lipa looks like a hundred-dollar bill

There have been plenty of nights where we have performed acrobatics in the back of an Uber to curate the ultimate back-seat shoot — but it’s safe to say they never turned out quite like Dua Lipa’s. Wearing a sheer co-ord printed with the emblem of a hundred-dollar bill, the sage green and cream ensemble looked expensive at every angle. From the crocodile-skin knee-high boots to the sheer cycling shorts and butterfly motif belt, Dua provides us with the fashion mood board of our dreams — but realistically, when doesn’t she?

Departing from the straight-A student attire of Euphoria’s Lexi, Maude Apatow is officially entering her Wuthering Heights era — and what better place to showcase her new style than in the softly-lit streets of Paris? Sporting a dress that floats from the waistline to the floor, Maude looks practically angelic as she sways her arms in the air — adorned with boho-inspired balloon sleeves that lightly attach to an inbuilt black bandeau. Blocking the sheer white and black materials together, the look is as simplistic as it is elegant — a true homage to the addictive charm of the actor.

Britney in the front, Rosalia in the back

Bubblegum, pigtails and pleated skirts in tow, Rosalia has officially entered the building. Channelling Britney’s “Baby One More Time” aesthetic, she pairs a loosely buttoned cardigan with a low-rise school skirt. Nonetheless, keeping her own grunge-meets-Y2K flair at the forefront, she opts for a raw hem on her skirt to emanate a ripped effect, while the back of her cardigan fashions a graphic bull motif. Adding a touch of drama to her bunches with some hot pink braids, Rosalia has officially mastered the 90s school-chick look — and we expect to see it feature in a music video imminently.

Priya Ragu reignites the power suit

Though widely known for her ever-shifting instrumentation in the world of R&B, soul and pop, it would appear Priya Ragu’s multifaceted talents are not limited to her soundscape alone. Quickly becoming the figurehead of modern streetwear, Priya’s wide array of boxy suits, chunky loafers and oversized t-shirts are never far from the top of our fashion inspo boards. Catching our eye this week, however, was this stone-wash two-piece. Boasting exaggerated shoulder pads and ultra-wide trouser legs, the suit is finished with a pair of hot pink court heels and an almond-colour turtleneck.
