From start to finish of her debut album, Amaroun employs mind-melting soundscapes and rich vocals to plummet her listeners deeper into her soul-soaked universe. Titled Mars, the ten-track effort teems with Amaroun’s kaleidoscopic range, making for a totally immersive and unique listening experience.

While “Excellency” provides a hypnotic production that opens the gateway to escapism, “Brown Skin Beauty” ups the tempo with deep syncopated beats and fiery lyricism. And, in addition to the drop of its tracklist, Mars is also accompanied by a spellbinding short film — which in ten short minutes catapults you into space, roaming the universe’s environment with total freedom of thought.

Talking of Mars, Amaroun explains, “My visuals are intrinsically linked to the music I create, Mars is so much more than an album, it’s a moment in time and space and meant to be experienced by every one of your senses. I created this abstracted piece of dance and visual art to push the viewer further into my world and closer to Mars. Breathe it in and be transported to another world.”
